Leonardo faced a difficult weekend in Lonato, closed with the uncertainty of rain during the KZ2 pre-final and final.
The Kart Republic driver completed the fourth race of the season on the circuit where he was protagonist last year. It was a difficult weekend for all the drivers, conditioned by a not entirely spring-like weather.
Leonardo had to deal with a not optimal qualification that forced him to recover for the duration of the heats. An arduous task that the Apulian driver has interpreted in the best way with three heats closed in positive and always in a comeback going from P40 overall to P22 at the end of the heats.
The Sunday of the WSK Euro Series did not fully smile at Leonardo, who was conditioned by the pouring rain during the pre-final where, starting from the eleventh place, he fought hard to win the KZ2 final. In the last act of the weekend, yet another recovery for Leo with another eight positions recovered, then closing in P19 overall.
Leonardo: “The weekend started in a difficult way, from the heats onwards I focused on recovering as much as possible, we are aiming higher but we are confident for the next race in a fortnight time. I would like to thank KR, IAME, my mechanic and all my seasonal partners”.
