Leonardo Marseglia steps on the podium in Sarno

On occasion of the 22nd Trofeo del Grifone at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli, Leonardo Marseglia takes his first podium in KZ2.

Leonardo Marseglia has a special feeling with the track near Naples: after the amazing comeback of last year during the CIK-FIA OK European Championship, this time, in the shadow of Vesuvius, Leonardo steps on the podium for the first time in the KZ2 class.

Fighting against more experienced drivers in the shifterclass, the BirelART driver posts the second fastest lap in qualifying losing a position in the prefinal. The final race on Sunday afternoon sees no changes in the order and Leonardo takes home the third place trophy.

“Sarno is my favourite track and with the KZ is simply amazing! On the main straight after the first corner you’re really fast! I still have to adapt my driving style and my points of reference with this new rocket, but I’m quite happy of this first test-race. Next week it will be harder, but at the same time it will give us a precise idea of how we are working. I take the opportunity to thank all my team for the support, my teachers and my principal who supports me in this highly demanding sport. See you in Sarno this weekend.”

Leonardo will race in Sarno once again this weekend taking part to the last round of the WSK Super Master Series.

Here are the results of the event.
