Ampfing is the place where a new adventure is beginning for me. One of the tree legs of my 2017 season is the Deutschland Kart Meistershaft, a 5-events Championship which is starting this weekend from the circuit of Bavaria, Germany.
The Chiesa Corse team is once again supporting me with its high competitive equipment. So that we already grabbed the first good results in the beginning of the event in Ampfing. This morning I felt good with my kart and I got in brief the 6th place in the qualifying practice for OK Junior.
Starting from the 2nd row in the qualifying heats, I didn’t have too much problems to climb some positions. The track of Ampfing doesn’t allow to overtake easily, that’s why I chosen a not too aggressive but safety strategy for the results I aimed.
One 2nd and one 3rd places are the results I gained in the two heats of today: this allows me to start in 2nd row in Race 1, Tomorrow morning. In this race and in the following Race 2 in the afternoon, I’m sure I’ll have some chance more, to improve again.
But, above all, today’s results are the best way to have a good start in the German karting field. This year I feel very good in OKJ with Chiesa Corse and in the races of Tomorrow I’ll have the chance to confirm this, once again.
