2014 – International Karting Season

In 2014 Leonardo Marseglia was one of the drivers at the top of 60 Mini category. His aim was to grow up and improve himself more and more, at the school of Motorsport.

His field of action was once again in Italy, in all of most important events as international trophies and championships which taken place at Italian circuits. The sole event out of Italy he raced was the SuperNationals in Las Vegas, USA.

Leonardo started the new season racing for Lenzo Kart, then after a few races he switched to the team Gamoto. He gained the best results of the season in the Rok Cup series, winning the Rok Cup talia on the track of Castelnuovo Berardenga, near Siena.

For the whole year, he was into the circle of the most competitive drivers of the Rok races, so that he ended the season in 2nd place in the Rok Cup World Final in Lonato, after a tough fight with several opponents.

In 2014, Leonardo gained success in important single events and trophies, too: one of those meetings was the Trofeo delle Industrie in Lonato, where the young driver recovered from the 17th place in the timing practice and won a difficult Final on the wet track. He grabbed other victories in events such the Trofeo Grifone (Sarno) and the Trofeo 7 Laghi (Castelletto).

 

 

 

In the season’s ending, Marseglia had a new chance in the USA, racing in the SKUSA SuperNationals one year later his lucky experience of 2013: challenging a lot of international young drivers on the street circuit of Las Vegas, he placed 11th.
